Avis Lau is a Partner and one of the founding members of H.M. Chan & Co. Avis focuses on capital markets transactions and is a highly experienced corporate lawyer with an extensive track record in advising clients on all aspects of corporate finance matters, including private acquisitions and disposals, public takeovers, formation and operations of private equity funds, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and reorganisations, IPOs and other fundraising exercises.

Avis has been continuously ranked as a Rising Star by IFLR1000 since 2021.

Prior to joining the firm, Avis was an associate at a leading Hong Kong law firm.

Avis is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales.
